RENZO PIANO
MUSICAL SPACE FOR THE OPERA ‘PROMETEO’, BUILT IN VENICE AND MILAN, 1983-84
“The aim of the project was to create, exclusively for this opera, a space for music reinventing the concept and organization of a traditional opera house. The audience is seated in the center of a structure, with the musicians surrounding them at various heights. The idea was to create a natural interaction, at different points of the structure, between the space and the music, one existing by virtue of the other.”
